Old accounts and new
A server can have accounts of its own, made on it, as well as letting in anyone with an Odyssey account. If you have both on one server, you can join them, so either one signs in to the same characters. On a server brought over from the original Odyssey, this is how you reach your old characters with your Odyssey account.
The server's owner decides whether accounts can be joined there. If they cannot, the game says so.
Coming back to a converted server#
Your old account came across with its characters, but its password did not quite: the original game kept passwords in capitals.
- On the server list, choose the server and sign in with your old account name and your old password, typed in capitals.
- The game asks you to choose a new password. That one is kept as you type it.
If your old password cannot be read, ask the server's staff for a temporary one. You choose your own the first time you use it.
Joining your accounts#
Joining makes the two accounts one, with every character of both. It cannot be undone.
Signed in with your Odyssey account#
- On the character screen, press Claim an Old Account.
- Enter the name and password of your account on this server. On a converted server whose old password you have not changed yet, type it in capitals.
- Press Join accounts, read what it says, and press Join them.
Signed in with your account on the server#
- On the character screen, press Link Odyssey Account.
- Enter your Odyssey account's username and password.
- Press Join accounts, then Join them.
Either way, every character of both accounts is on the character screen straight away, and either account signs in to them.
If it will not join#

If you have forgotten your old password, the server's owner can join the two accounts by hand once they are sure both are yours.
For server owners#
Joining is off until you switch on Players can join their accounts under Server configuration, Accounts and characters. A claimed account brings its roles and rights with it, so before switching it on, remove any imported account you do not want claimed, such as an old god account.
